Organic Makeup For Sensitive Skin

Because our skin is constantly exposed to the harsh pollutants and chemicals in the environment, it is one of the first places we start to see physical damage. This can include premature aging, skin irritations, dry and chapped skin, and a variety of other skin conditions. As well, the chemicals and toxins found in manufactured skin products can cause even more harm to the skin. One way of combating the effects of skin irritants is to use organic mineral makeup for sensitive skin.

Signs of sensitive skin include skin that is easily irritated, acne break outs and rashes, blotchy and red skin, and dry patches. Chemicals and synthetic ingredients can further increase these conditions. Synthetic ingredients found in many manufactured makeup products that should be avoided include: Formaldehydes, Paraffin, Imidazolidinyl urea, Diazolidiny urea, Parabens (methyl, propyl, butyl, ethyl,) petrolatum products, propylene glycol, Phthalates, PVP/VA Copolymer, synthetic colors, synthetic fragrances, and Triethanolamine, aluminum. These chemicals can cause skin irritations and are particularly damaging to sensitive skin. Animal by-products are also found in these manufactured products.

Organic makeup for sensitive skin is all-natural and free of chemicals and preservatives. A few of the organic make up products available include blush, foundation, concealers, eyeliners, and lipstick. The organic elements found in the makeup products reduce the signs of aging, nourish the skin, rehydrate and replenish the skin, and moisturize leaving the skin soft and smooth with a healthy glow. The gentle natural substances found in organic make up for sensitive skin will not irritate the skin or cause physical damage. Women who suffer from allergens find organic make up beneficial because these products are hypoallergenic.

Organic makeup products are made without pesticides, chemicals, essential oil, animal by-products, man-made preservatives, and other harsh substances. As well, a quality organic product will be 100% vegan and animal cruelty free. Natural ingredients to look for include all natural plant extract, natural clay, olive extract, natural herbs, beeswax, and flower essence. Look for the USDA seal for certified organic.   This seal indicates that the makeup is 95% organic or more. A product that is less than 95% organic cannot use the USDA seal.

The skin is the body's largest organ. Many skin problems, such as acne, dermatitis, irritations, and allergies may vanish once synthetic ingredients are longer in the makeup. Many oils and alcohols are a popular choice for mass produced skin products such as makeup because they can be easily absorbed into the skin. This results in absorption of the chemicals into the skin which causes skin damage. The healing and gentle properties of organic ingredients have made these ingredients a popular choice for millions of people around the world. Because of the vast amount of chemicals and synthetic additives in manufactured products and the increase of harsh element in our environment, the use of organics is increasing at a remarkable rate. Organic makeup for sensitive skin is one product more people are choosing to achieve a healthier lifestyle. The switch to organic makeup leaves women with smooth, soft, and clear skin resulting in improved skin health.

Taking Care of Our Lips During the Summer

The summer season can be damaging to our skin. The heat and sun can dry the skin leaving it rough, chapped, and burnt. Most people find ways to reduce the impact of the summer elements on the skin and hair, but often neglect lip care. During the summer, our lips can suffer from damage, so they need care too. Excessive sun and heat can dry the lips leaving them dry and chapped.

Lips do not contain oil producing glands so they do not produce oil like our skin. Excessive heat and UN sun rays can dehydrate our lips. There are a number of effects of overexposure to the sun and increased temperatures that include pain, redness, roughness, flaky lip skin, bleeding, and tenderness. As well, the thin skin on your lips lacks melanin which is the pigment that protects skin from damaging UV rays, so it is essential that the lips are protected with a sunscreen.

Practicing routine lip care can ensure lips stay smooth and soft throughout the summer months. The following lip care tips will help keep your lips healthy and soft.

Apply Lip Balms: Lip balms protect the lips from the sun and other harsh elements. They moisturize and prevent lips from drying and chapping. There are lip balms that are available with SPF protection. Organic lip balms are one of the better choices. Sesame oil is also a good product for comforting the lips. As well, Shea butter helps the skin cells retain moisture and restores elasticity.

Drink Water: When you drink plenty of water during the summer months, your body and skin will stay hydrated. This will also help keep your lips hydrated.

Don't Irritate Your Lips: Avoid licking your lips as that will increase irritation. Biting the skin on your lips will only exacerbate lip irritation which will inhibit healing. It tears at the lip skin and encourages drying.

Avoid Direct Sunlight: The sun can cause the lips to burn and chap. Covering your lips with a lip balm or lipstick will stop the sun from burning the lips.

Healthy Diet: Eating vegetables and fruit will provided much needed vitamins and minerals to keep the lips healthy.

Apply Lip Gloss: Lip gloss is a great cosmetic addition that contains a lot of moisturizing properties. It makes your lips appealing while proving protection from dehydration. There are a variety of lip glosses available.

Night Care: Before you got to bed, apply a moisturizing night cream on your lips. In the morning you will have smooth and soft lips.

Morning Lip Care: In the morning, brush your lips with a soft baby toothbrush to remove flaky skin. Then, apply some lip balm to your lips.

During the summer, heat, wind, and the sun, can draw out the moisture and damage the lips. It is important to prevent the damaging effects of exposure by using a lip care product that soothes, restores, heals, and moisturizes the lips. Following a daily lip care health routine will ensure beautiful and soft lips.

Saving Lives Working as a Physician

If it were not for physicians, the world would be a much sicker place for the fact that physicians bring to us the medicine that makes us well and keeps us well. But what is amazing about physician jobs is that they save lives. So many people are on this earth walking around because a physician did something great that gave them their life. If it were not for the medicine and the great doctors who practice it, the world would be a much different and less healthy place.

Becoming a physician

There seems to be a shortage of doctors. Many students will go to college in hopes to become a physician, but they do not finish. Sometimes it is because they fail out of school and other times it is because they decide that becoming a physician is not what they want to do.

But when you work really hard and keep up your grades, you can become a doctor and you can get in on saving lives. Yes, it takes approximately 8 years of schooling to become a doctor, but the money is great and the satisfaction gained from saving people is quite incredible.

In order to get to enjoy the money and the satisfaction, you have to complete your undergraduate courses. You usually have to pull off a lot of biology and anatomy courses. Once you complete them and you have at least a “C” average, you can then apply for medical school. When admitted into medical school, you do a lot of classroom work, you get to see things that the average person finds to be disgusting, and you even get to work with those disgusting things. Eventually, you are able to work in an actual hospital setting when you are in your third and fourth years.

Once you have all of this under your belt, you can apply for licensure in your state or the states that you will be practicing in. Once you are licensed, you can work in a hospital or have your own practice.

Helping people

When a physician has someone come to them when they are sick, the main goal is to make them well. It is amazing to watch an individual who is ill to become well. Sometimes it can be just the cold or the flu. Other times it can be something such as cancer. Imagine being a doctor who is working with a cancer patient that has a slim chance of living, but doing the right things for that patient that gives them another chance toward life.

What you are doing is working with the patient. The patient can’t go on if they don’t want to. When they do want to go on, you’re doing everything you possibly can to give them the chance that they want. It is a rather amazing thing. Individuals in the medical field usually don’t see the magnitude of this. They are patients and they know what it is a doctor does for them individually. And yes, patients can be a bit judgmental sometimes when they don’t get the results that they want. That is nothing to get too upset about because, just like in any sector, it is hard to please everyone. As a physician, you simply go on with your day and think of all of the people you have made happy by helping them to get well. And if you’re debating whether or not to become a physician, it is very rewarding and you’ll be able to live the life you’ve always wanted. The world needs physicians, so you might as well go for it.

Nurses are respected and valued members of the medical community. They play a critical role in the health care field. Although the medical field is made up of many types of nurses, they are all exciting and rewarding careers. The following list outlines many types of nursing careers:

Registered Nurse (RN): Registered Nurses work in almost all areas of the health care profession. They perform many tasks that include: administering treatments such as medications, performing certain medical procedures, monitoring vital signs, advising and supporting patients, educating patients about medical conditions, and keep families up-to-date on a patient’s status. RN Jobs specialize in certain medical areas

Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA): Certified Nurse Assistants are also known as nurses’ aides, patient care technicians, home health aides, and home health assistants. CNAs are employed in a number of health care fields. They work in hospitals, nursing homes, private homes, and adult living homes. CNAs perform a number of duties that include: monitoring health such as recording a patients temperature, pulse, and respiration, helping patients eat, bathe, and dress, helping patients walk, keeping patients rooms in order, providing nutritious meals, answering patients' call bells, and making beds. They may also help patients to exam rooms and even assist with simple procedures. CNAs report to a Registered Nurse.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Although Licensed Practical Nurses have less training than Registered Nurses, they are employed in all areas of health care. They work in hospitals, nursing homes, and medical clinics. LPNs perform such duties as monitoring a patient's overall condition, giving injections, recording vital signs, and applying dressings. They will also assist patients with personal hygiene and report any treatment reactions

Critical Care Nurse: A Critical Care Nurse works with seriously injured and ill patients in the hospital. This type of nurse works in the ICU (intensive care unit) or CCU (critical care unit). Their job is to care for patients who are being treated for serious and life-threatening illnesses.

Travel Nurse: A Travel Nurse is a nurse that travels to different areas and provides short term support when there is a nurse shortage. They will fill in when a full time nurse goes on maternity leave, during peak work times, if a nurse has a long term illness, or if a nurse is on an extended vacation. There assignments are short term but they are highly paid. An assignment usually runs for about 13 weeks. Travel Nurses jobs are often offered in hospitals and medical clinics. Employers will provide many benefits such as free housing and health insurance.

Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN): Theses nurses perform the same job function as licensed practical nurses. LVNs provide certain medical services such as giving enemas, treating bedsores, bandaging wounds, and recording vitals. They also assist patients with bathing and dressing.

Public Health Nurse (PHN): These nurses are registered nurses who have specialized in community health. They often go to community centers, homes, and schools where they assist individuals and families with health concerns. They work with community organizers regarding health related issues. They also perform the same duties as registered nurses.

Nurse Practitioner: A Nurse Practitioner is a registered nurse who has specialized training and education which allows them to carry out many tasks normally performed by a doctor. Such tasks include diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries. Some states allow practical nurses to write prescriptions.

These are just a few of the more popular areas of nursing. Nurses are on the front lines of health care and are usually the first people patients meet when faced with a health issue. Nurses provide valuable support for patients and their families making them an indispensable part of the health care community.
