As I've said, each day this week I'll be posting ideas and ways that I am beating the hum-drum of the average boring day. I'll be giving you guys ideas and ways to really get out there and liveyour life.
So, I started off this week's topic a little early. This past Saturday, my friend from college was in town visiting, and wewere bored. We came across an ad in the paper to go skydiving for only$200. No experience necessary.
Why not?!
I CANNOT tell you guys how much FUN thisexperience was. First, we were seated at the skydive office for about 20minutes filling out sheet after sheet of waivers and other legality forms, justin case something happened and we wanted to sue the company.
Yeah. Reading over those sheets made mewant to pee my pants a little bit.
Afterwards, we watched a safety instructionalvideo for about 10 minutes, telling us what to do once we were thrown out ofthe plane.
10 minutes later, we found ourselves gettingsuited in THE MOST RIDICULOUS outfits ever. I was lucky enough to get thebright blue 80's-looking jumpsuit. I rocked it.
Within seconds, we were on the plane, gettingstrapped up in our harnesses with our tandem instructors on our backs.
And then we were thrown out.
A burst of cold air hit me instantly when thedoor was opened, and I felt myself plummet head first out of the plane. 13,450 ft. above the ground. The freefall was a whole minute ofweightlessness that made you feel so incredible. I was literally floatingon air.
This experience has opened my eyes and made mereally appreciate all that you can feel while living. There are so manymore experiences like this that you can do in the world, and I'm out to livethrough every one of them.
