I woke up this morning to check my email only to find the terrible stories about the sudden earthquake that hit Haiti yesterday. Not only that, but all day the only thing I heard was one teacher say, "that's to bad," and she continued to drink her carmal macchiato skim half calf watchamacallit. It is absolutely ridiculous that this is the reaction to the deaths of 100,000 people! People keep saying its not our problem, why should we help? As human beings, you should want to help, and secondly, relief shouldn't have to be initiated by our own president before people actually take notice! There are so many things  that we americans can do to help. Start raising money to buy clean water and food, because guess what ladies and gents, even though we can order half of everything on the McDonald's menu for a dollar, the Haitian people are running out of clean water, food. Go and buy relief items, there are tons of organizations and drop off areas that will take the stuff to Haiti! Helping could even be as simple as texting! Yes, that's right texting! I know America's youth is sure good at that! All you have to do is text  "Haiti" to 90999 and boom 10 dollars was donated! Now wasn't that easy? So, when you sit down with your family to watch T.V. and you see something terrible, don't just say how terrible it is and forget about it forever; get out there and help!!!!
