Introduction
The energy crisis in the world today has become quite severe. With many people in the United States facing expensive gas for the first time in their lives, the road trip mentality that exists within the US is starting to come up against serious roadblocks when it comes to finances. When gas was $1.50 a gallon such trips might have been inexpensive to take, but now that gas is approaching $5.00 a gallon in many places around the country, the need for weekend getaways that are green in nature has become a financial one and that means that it is a need that most of the country now has. Here are some green weekend getaway tips to get you started down the path to preserving your road trips and they should hopefully get you started on producing more as well.
Trade for a Hybrid
One of the first things that you should consider as far as tips are concerned is trading in for a hybrid. In other words, you should consider selling the car that you already have and purchasing a hybrid vehicle instead. Cars that run on just gasoline are rapidly depreciating in value, so the sooner you do this the better off you will be.
Hybrids run about twice as efficient as conventional gasoline only vehicles, primarily as a result of their electric engine that compliments the gasoline engine. This means that hybrids are a temporary measure rather than a complete solution. A hybrid will effectively cut gas costs in half, but since gas costs are expected to continue rising for the foreseeable future, it is easy to see why a hybrid is not a solution. For people that can afford to trade up however, it can certainly be a piece of the puzzle and a part of the solution.
Conserve Fuel at Every Chance
Many people waste a lot of fuel. This is a fact of life. While many people are now probably aware that they waste fuel, you might be surprised to know that you waste fuel all the time without even knowing it. When you choose to drive along roads instead of highways or idle in a parking lot waiting for a friend or relative, you end up wasting fuel. Even idling at a red light that takes a long time to turn green with nobody else behind you is a waste of fuel.
Serious conservation requires that you think about all of the places you use fuel and then cut back anywhere that it is reasonable to do so. It might not be reasonable to stop your car at a red light with dozens of cars behind you, but if it’s midnight and you are on a minor road with a two-minute red light, there is no harm done in stopping your car and then starting it again when the light turns green. If you travel through that intersection regularly at that time, you might be astonished at just how much fuel you can save through one simple action every day.
Conserve Energy Overall
Finally, another thing that you can do is to make more money available for your weekend getaways by saving that money at home. Instead of using your dryer for drying clothes, why not hang them on a clothesline outside? This way you are using free solar energy instead of expensive fossil fuel energy. Use energy efficient light bulbs, turn them off when you are not using them and whenever possible try to go without the use of central cooling or heating. If you do all of these things, you will have much more money leftover from energy savings that you can then use to pay for fuel during your weekend getaways. CAA Travel
I have talked in the past about me getting a job, moving out of my dad's, and moving in the right direction for me to travel the world.
About two weeks ago, my dad and I got in a fight (about what, who knows, but it was probably silly). I packed my things and left that night. I moved in with my friend and am... dealing with it as best I can. I've been pretty angry and confused and just a little lost about everything. If anything I feel exactly as I did when I was fifteen and that is a time and place I hate even looking at for how dangerous I was to myself.
I'm just trying to figure out what's going on inside so I can get over it. But right now I'm not entirely sure who or what I'm angry at. I know I take a lot of it out on my dad, though, and then he gets angry with me, but I know that despite all of that we'll still talk. Even though I've left the house and him and it was all done in anger, we're still alright. And I've told him about my plans to go around the world. He was... hesitant... to say in the least, but he's supportive. He's even helping me look up stuff to get my documents in order and he's going to help me pay my credit card (that he maxed out). So his support means something.
But it's hard, like I said. I'm just trying my hardest. I work all the time and I keep track of my money. I set up a checking account and I'm working on getting a Mint account set up so I can view my credit card statement as well as my bank account statement and see how much I can afford to pay each month. I'm pretty happy with how I'm getting everything in order and I'm happy that I'm being able to do all of this.
By the way, Wal Mart is not such a bad place to work. The people are nice, the hours are good, and the pay isn't bad. And over half the people I work with are in college or are going back for their Master's degrees. If you've ever said something rude about a Wal Mart employee, think again, Buddy. Just because they work at Wal Mart doesn't mean they're stupid.

Whether it’d be a casual vacation, a visit to the relatives, or a once in a lifetime honeymoon, it is essential to have travel insurance. It allows the travelers to have a peace of mind, and that itself is priceless. By allowing travelers to know that they’re insured under most circumstances, the extra boost of confidence will allow them to participate in activities that they have been anticipating. Parents will no longer experience the feeling of anxiety when travelling on foreign grounds.
Planning for a getaway for a family of four and a group of friends can sometimes become fairly hectic. Figuring out the schedules can already be quite troublesome, coupled with hotel reservations; it can potentially turn a 2 day retreat into a disaster. To eliminate such problems, travelers can obtain memberships that match their tastes and budget with the appropriate accommodation. Not only are accommodations greatly emphasized, but different vacation packages are currently tailored to the different needs of vacationers. For example, while some may be seeking help to find the perfect hotel, some may be wondering where the ideal location for honeymooners is.
By joining a CAA membership, an individual may not only be able to lessen their stress of planning a 2 day getaway, but they may also experience special promotions and services that are exclusive its members. For example, roadside assistance is available around the clock, reassuring travelers 24/7. Planning for a vacation should not be a dreadful task, so let someone else do the work for you! CAA Travel

Well, my mother and grandmother are just as outraged with the Gates case. I am sitting here and then my grandmother tells me, "They should start sending whites to whites, blacks to blacks for arrests." On the 911 call she said they looked Hispanic, which I told her. She never admits it, but at that point she realized the idiocricy behind that theory.
Since I am talking about family, here's a thought:: Form your own opinion. Not one based off tradition.
For example: my mother is pro-choice, I am pro-life all the way.
My brother is, well bad example, kinda sorta anarchyish??? Ya know screw police, let us do what we want. I am not. I think we need some order. (plus what happens if you're being beat to death and have the opportunity to call for help??)
My point is that ignorance and other opinions are in every family. That's healthy, but if it's anything like me, they don't support you. This brings me to my second point:: please, if you have a child, friend, or another person that doesn't agree with you, it's okay. Support them, just as they should support you. Try to understand.
Just try...
