On October 23rd, our health class went to Central Park for another scavenger hunt. Our teachers gave us a time limit and it was one hour. I was excited to split up in to groups and run around again. Our assignment was to look for types of leaves, garbage, plants, nuts and things that effected our environment. There were many different types, shapes and colors of leaves. There were also many different textures of leaves, barks, and nuts. It was Fall so many leaves that we got were mostly from the ground and we did not pick any from the trees. We also found this really big leaf and it was a yellow with a blend of bright orange. We kept it just incase we get extra points. Scavenger hunts in the park is a great way for a good physical activity outdoor. After a good lunch, a good workout is healthy. When we finished the whole list we put them in to plastic sandwich bags and separated the items according to the list. We then put the entire little sandwich bags in to a black grocery bag. After we finished we had to work on a sheet that is about things that effected the environment.
I do not think it was that hard to find the items that were on the list because it was a big park and there were plenty of leaves and trash. There were many things that I noticed that effected the environment in central park. There were cars that were parked unsafely and trash in the lake and on the ground. I think this is unsafe for people who go to the park daily and animals who lives in the park.
