We went to 97th street between 2nd and 3rd avenue and did a little bit of gardening. It was a half day for us so we only stayed till 12. Each of us has handed a shovel and bulb. We planted around the front of the garden so when spring comes, people that passes by can see the beautiful flowers that we planted. Each of us dug a hole with our shovel. Each hole was like 6 inches deep and 6 inches apart. We dug like 3 rows of holes and planted a bulb in each of them. Then we covered it back up and stuck a stick on top of it so we can mark where it is. It was really fun because I had never done gardening before. We found worms in the soil that helps the earth. We planted the bulbs in the fall because it grows during the winter and comes out in the spring. If anybody has time, go by the area and try to see if you see any pretty flowers. It is a good way to help out your community and make it better in a way.
