Scavenger Hunt at Central Park Again and Gardening In The Projects

Posted on: November 06, 2009 at 06:44 AM

On the 23rd of October our class went to Central Park again to do another scavenger hunt. This time it was about grouping different objects by color, texture, smell, etc. Since our group won the last time we did the scavenger hunt, we picked the same people.

One of the groupings was to find objects that prove that humans are there, I had to pick up nasty objects like cigarette butts, and dirty tissues that I found around the park. The scavenger hunt ended pretty fast because everything that we needed to find was within a few yards of us. That day was very cold too so we ended quickly.

On the 30th of October our class went to 97th 3rd between 2nd avenue to help plant plants and flowers in the garden. The class split up into three groups and started raking up the fallen leaves and started digging up holes that were around six inches to plant a flower bud in it.

It was very interesting to me because I have never done this before, it was fun though. I wouldn’t mind doing it again.
