Insiyah Nomanbhoy
Cupertino, CA

Insiyah is a Senior at Castilleja School in Palo Alto, and lives in Cupertino with her mom, dad and younger sister. She was selected by faculty at her school to participate in this Women's delegation because of the leadership she has consistently demonstrated among her peers and within the school's student government, as well as because of her outstanding academic record. Insiyah's mother is from Sri Lanka and her father from Pakistan, and their ancestors came from India.

She has a passion for assisting children and longs to one day become a pediatrician. She traveled to Sri Lanka last year and served as a summer volunteer at Chitra Lane School for Children with Special Needs. Insiyah is a Dawoodi Bohra Muslim and her faith is very important to her. Her favorite quote from someone she admires is from Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa who has said, "Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world."
