Narrative Comments:

This grant proposal is a great idea to show solidarity in the form of going up to Sacramento to protest.  The downfall is with only 53 students you might not make that big of an impact.  We really like that you would like to lobby though!  If you get in touch with all the representatives from the Fresno area and have appointment times to meet with them, that would be best.  In order to get more of the community involved, this group might want to get petitions signed by everyone in the community to show to their representatives when they go to lobby in Sacramento.  We understand that charter buses cost a lot of money so we think that the amount requested is fair but we also think to involve the community, this group could have asked for food donations and possibly posters/other office supply donations.  We do appreciate that they already have students signed up and willing to go to Sacramento with them.  With more concrete ideas about how to represent your community and target your message to Fresno legislators, we will review your proposal and it is likely that we will seriously consider your proposal.
