Narrative Comments:

We liked your idea very much because this small community seems verytightly knit and we think it would be a very successful day that can involve everyone.  However, your proposal does not have a concrete goal for what the day of action will accomplish.  We would suggest sending the petitions from the petitionsigning booth to the state legislators, inviting those legislators to speak or soliciting asmuch media attention as possible for this Day of Action. You should meet again to better articulate the goal, and possibly involve other students or adults in the discussion. Then please resubmit your proposal so we can reconsider it. The strongest part of your proposal is the way in which you will use free community resources like food and performance donations to keep the budget very low for this kind of event ($10/person if 500 people attend).  While a community event in a park is not a unique idea, we like that you are brining local attention to statewide issues, which you said usually does not happen. With a better articulated goal, it is likely that we will fund this project.
