Fundraising

So you've taken a look at the fancy Right To Learn supply store and want to order some schwag? Or you're creating your own t-shirts, signs or posters?

If you need some money to make things go, there are two options: (1) ask people for it (club members, friends, parents or school) or (2) hold a fundraiser. If you've already asked around and can't find any more suckers to give you money, then follow these directions to raise some money for your Day of Action.

Set a Goal: First, do some basic budgeting and try to figure out about how much money you need to successfully pull off your Day of Action. It's likely not a whole lot: usually a couple hundred bucks (at the most) will be more than adequate. Having a goal, even if it's a small one, will help keep everyone focused and motivated.

Decide What You Want to Do: YN has lots of pages that talk about how to raise money for projects. Take a look at any of these examples below, or come up with your own! Just remember that you want to hold your fundraiser as soon as possible so that you can start to focus on what's really important: what you're going to spend the raised money on and how you're going to have a rocking Day of Action.
