Submitted on: 01/31/2009 Goals: Run for a Reason is the charity race where YOU choose the cause! The goal behind Run for a Reason is to empower young people to take charge of their futures and create change in their communities. On August 13th, 2009 we are running in the Chicago 1/2 Marathon and 5K. Each participant who joins our team will get a personal fundraising page on GiveForward.org to raise money for ANY cause you want. Anyone who raises over $250 will get a GiveForward T-shirt and anyone who raises over $750 will receive a ticket to GiveForward's one year anniversary party (21+)Objectives: We hope to have a fun time running as a team and then celebrating with a post-race breakfast. But more importantly, we hope to raise $25,000 for various charities and good causes around the world.Causes: Giving Money to Good Causes, Cancer Sucks, AIDS, Save the Rainforest, Global Warming |
