Goals: This year alone, more than 130,000 Californians will be diagnosed with cancer and nearly 55,000 will die of the disease. That's the bad news. The good news is we can start now and do something to decrease our risk. Make a choice to make a difference, join I Care and I Count, the American Cancer Society's student campaign against cancer. Let's make some noise and let the world know that our school and our students care about cancer.
Objectives: Create events, publish articles, make announcements, and, most importantly, raise awareness if how important it is to live a healthy lifestyle and educate ourselves on cancer issues. If you or someone you know has been touched by cancer, this is your opportunity to fight back. Make your voice heard and help educate students, teachers, and the public about prevention and early detection.
Causes: Disease control, Education, Wellness
