Play CityTM Leadership Society & Training Camp
What is it?
Play City Leadership Society interns work with YouthNoise and Nike to transform the online energy of Play City into an on-the-ground community movement. This part-time internship starts off with a free two-day Play City Training Camp for participants to gain hands-on knowledge about community organizing, hone leadership skills and form teams to create lasting projects to improve communities through sports.
If selected as an intern, you will connect with a network of other socially conscious, college-aged activists throughout the world! You will also be eligible for internship credit, publicity for your project on the YN site, exclusive access to amazing events and industry experts and invaluable work experience.
Where are the Play City Training Camps?
The first-ever Training Camp was held in Los Angeles, CA from August
9-10, 2008, and LA is blazing the trail to become a real Play City! 48
interns worked together to form eight project teams and combine their
brilliant ideas on how to use
sports for social
change in their communities.
