YouthNoise / Let Me Play Mobile FAQ

What can I do with mobile alerts from YouthNoise Let Me Play?
A lot! By registering your mobile phone with YouthNoise Let Me Play, you can receive notifications about special, invitation-only events dealing with sports and social change -- whether it's an impromptu kickball game or the Let Me Play Training Camps, you'll be among the first to find out! You'll also be able to interact with the campaign in a variety of ways -- like voting on which project idea should receive funding or which athlete we should ask to record a PSA for the campaign. Finally, we're hoping to work with Nike to send out special discounts for shoes and other hot Nike merchandise -- cross your fingers!

Do YouthNoise mobile alerts work with my mobile phone carrier?
Most, but not all, wireless carriers have set up their networks to support text (SMS) messages and mobile alerts. Some carriers, however, do not allow text messages to be sent to or received from SMS short codes (5 digits -- 69866 -- not a normal 10-digit phone number). Check with your carrier if you experience problems sending or receiving YouthNoise text messages.

Do I need a YouthNoise account to receive YouthNoise or Let Me Play mobile alerts?
No, but if you do have a YouthNoise account, be sure to list your mobile phone number when you register your account so you'll have access to the most advanced mobile features as soon as they're released!

What if I no longer wish to receive YouthNoise mobile alerts?
We will be heartbroken, but you can stop receiving notifications any time. Just text STOP to 69866 and we'll remove you immediately from our mobile alert list. If you ever want to rejoin, just text PLAY to 69866 and we'll take you back, no questions asked.
