10. Dunk 'em, loop 'em, and make 'em pay: Host a school carnival and direct proceeds to your cause. You could hire an actual carnival with a contract and take a percentage of the proceeds, or you could make your own with a dunking booth (maybe you could ask that assistant principal who disses your hair and pants oh-so-sweetly to volunteer...), games, contests, and events. Either way is fun and gets you more money for your charity.
9. Just Bead It: Make and sell simple bracelets with beads, elastic string, and your buds! You could alternate colors or select specific colors, like pink for breast cancer, blue for remembering victims, or white for peace; using two colors would probably work best. Keep it from becoming a sweatshop by making sure you've got plenty of tunes, food, and friends to make it fast and fun!
8. Fill 'er up: Sponsor a penny drive. What an easy concept: decorate big, glass jars-- one for each class or grade-- and host a contest with prizes for the class or grade that collects the most money. Make it interesting by allowing silver and dollars to be put in OTHER class's jars to deduct points from them! These babies might fill up fast, so you'll need counters after or before school.
4. "I will work for world peace... and skateboarding parks." You've seen 'em all-- talent shows, gong shows, and variety shows. They can be pretty cool. But what about a Male Pageant? Call it after your school or organization, like "Mr. YOUTHNOISE." Have teachers nominate a candidate for each category, like a Mr. Chemistry or a Mr. Basketball after each subject. Then, host rehearsals with the guys for talent contests, goofy wear, formal wear, and a dance-off! Charge admission into the event-- EVERYONE will want to go! Another variation: hold a Whose Line is it Anyway? or an American Idol spoof.
7. Lights, Camera, Cash! Grab a new flick everybody wants to see and charge a small admission to see it at the school auditorium, gymnasium, or other place. The bigger screen you can get, the better; think about making a deal with a local movie theater to sponsor you per patron for a certain movie playing already. Even better-- hold a bad movie night, but don't tell! Advertise for a "Free Movie Night," and show something ridiculous like "How to Call Ducks Without Cell Phones" or something, and charge people a fee to LEAVE instead!
6. "Working at the carwash..." What better way to have fun than soak each other down with the hose while you're soaking down cars for a cause? Here's the way to seal the deal: Make sure you advertise as a "Free Car Wash." Then, people will be sure to donate in the coffee cans you have ready to take their cash! Feeling even braver? Host a dog wash instead!

4. Don't sit ON the baby: Baby-sit for your cause! Parents would love to take you up on this, especially around the holidays. Get the group together at a public location -- schools work best. Each person could be in charge of something different -- arts, sports, scraping boogers off the wall, whatever. Charge a flat rate per child or accept donations; the haggard moms and pops you'll be relieving will be more than happy to compensate for a day's break!
3. A rose by any other name... can raise us some dough: Sell flowers, such as carnations -- they're as cheap as forty cents each and by selling 'em for a dollar each, you've already covered costs and made a profit. You can do colors that "mean" something, like red for love or pink for I'm-so-embarrassed-to-know-you or whatever, or white for solidarity with people for your cause. Some flowers can even be dyed your school colors! Make sure you make little slips or cards to deliver with the flowers, including the recipient's name and class for delivering.
2. Grab 'em by their bellies: Sell cold and easy snacks at school events, such as soda, snow cones, or ice cream. It's cheap in bulk-- you could even make your own -- for an easy profit to donate. During the winter season, sell hot chocolate, coffees, or apple cider. Yum!
1. Contests and One-Two Steps: Host a drive, dance, homeroom competition, or other event in honor of a cause, with admission going to fundraising, as well as accepting donations of money, food, and supplies. Homerooms could hold canned food drives and make sculptures with 'em. Better yet, compete to "can in" your counselors or administrators with cans as a class competition! You know exactly who you'd love to do that to-- and it's for a good cause!
