  • Clean Green: Ordinary household cleaners often contain toxic ingredients that, when dumped down the drain, can contaminate groundwater. Instead, try: Vinegar and water to clean windows Baking soda as an ordinary kitchen cleaner
  • Buy organic foods. If they aren't readily available or too expensive, make sure to wash produce.
  • Use "green" or "organic" cosmetics and personal care products. Watch out for these Dirty Dozen.

My school has this awesome program that goes into local elementary schools once a week to work on an organic gardening project. It's really fun, and also contribute to the community.
