Do Safe Sex Campaigns Work?

We know why we should use condoms. We know where to buy condoms. We even know how to put on condoms. Yet USA Today reported in August that 53 percent of teenage boys and about two-thirds of teen girls say they don’t always use condoms when they have sex. Why do risky sexual behaviors persist when our generation is aware of the consequences? Do sex ed and safe sex campaigns actually make a difference, or are they a waste of time?
