 1 The Volvo Adventure
In partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme - is an educational programme that rewards environmental activities and the decision- makers of the future. To enter, you form a team of 2 to 5 members aged 13 to 16 years and perform an environmental project in your local community. You submit the project via our online submission tool before January 31st 12pm, 2009 deadline (CET). Projects are judged during February / March and the best projects are selected for an all expenses paid trip to Göteborg, Sweden where they can win: 1st place = $10,000, 2nd = $6,000 and 3rd = $4,000.

2 2nd Annual Forecast Earth Summit for High School Students - December 5-7
The Weather Channel's Forecast Earth would like to invite high school students to be part of the Forecast Earth Summit, December 5-7 in Washington, D.C. Students - freshmen, sophomores, and juniors during the 2008-09 school year are eligible - must submit a 200-word essay outlining what they are personally doing to combat climate change. From the entries, 20 students will be selected to take part in TWC's Forecast Earth Summit, a three-day event that will focus on promoting environmental literacy among the high school audience. Entry forms can be submitted online through October 19.

I support this cause, becuase in order to just walk outside and breath a healthy air and see a healthy community and world.We need to make difference!I do many things to help the Earth!By doing:once a month i walk 5 and a half miles and pick up at least 3 or 4 bags of trash and cans!!!I also conserve paper by having the printer use both sides of paper!I have a compost outside too!Any many other things i do to help my world and community!!!
